About Aligarh College of Education
Aligarh College of Eductation (ACE) came into being on 23rd December 2005. Approved by National Council for Teacher Education. The College is affiliated with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra under the scheme of self-financed institutions of Goverment of Uttar Pradesh. The College has been declared as minority institution under article 29 and 30 of Constitution of India by National Commssion For Minority Educational Institutions, New Delhi .
Enlightened, emancipated and empowered teachers lead communities and nation towards better and higher quality of life. Teachers are expected to create social cohesion, national integration and learning society. They disseminate knowledge and also generate new knowledge therefore, it becomes essential for any nation to give necessary professional inputs to its teachers. The candidates are encouraged to flourish in environment that promotes value and technology based society.
To become a successful professional in teaching field one should have a minimum qualification of Bachelor of Education. The job opportunities for these professionals are numerous. They can find employment in various government and government aided institutions. For this recruitment the government organizes SET. After qualifying this examination one can join as teacher in any government school in the State. The B.Ed graduates can teach at Primary and high school level.
To systematise experience and strengthen the professional competency of service teachers.
1.To imbibe the knowledge and to develop understanding of various methods and approaches of organising learning experiences of secondary school students.
2.To develop skills required in selection and organising learning experiences.
3.To understand the nature of the learner and of learning processes.
4.To develop skills involved in dealing with the academic and personal problems of learners.
5.To acquire knowledge and develop understanding about the various procedures and techniques of evaluation and their classroom application.
6.To develop skills involved in selecting, developing and using evaluation tools.
7.To provide knowledge and develop understanding about various aspects of school management.
8.To develop competencies for organising various instructional and student-support activities.
9.To develop an appreciation of the role of the teacher in the prevailing socio-cultural and political context in general, and the educational system in particular.
